What is the mission of the Buncombe County Democratic Party (BCDP)?
To elect Democrats to all levels of government.
Who are my elected Democratic officials?
Take a look at our Elected Officials page. If you live in Buncombe County,
you’ll find your elected Democratic officials from local Water Boards to
President of the United States.
You can find more information on local elected officials from the League of
Women Voters of Asheville-Buncombe County. They have a great updated
flyer which you can download here.
You can also contact the Buncombe County Board of Elections.
Who are the Democratic candidates running for office?
Take a look at our Candidates page. If you like a candidate, take some time
to volunteer or donate to them!
How is the BCDP organized?
The BCDP is part of the 11th Congressional District Democratic Party of
North Carolina and the North Carolina Democratic Party. We are organized
under the NCDP Plan of Organization.
The BCDP consists of a group of Officers, County Precinct Officers, County
Executive Committee and other committees. We also have official Auxiliaries
(Clubs) and Caucuses. The heart of the BCDP is run by its incredible and
dedicated volunteers. If you’re interested in joining the BCDP and volunteering
with us, please email: hq@buncombedems.org
I’d like to check out the BCDP. When is your next event?
Take a look at our Calendar of Events page. We have two ongoing monthly events
where you can meet your fellow Democrats: Our Volunteer Luncheon held every
first Wednesday at 12 noon and the BCDP Women’s Club Dinner held every 3rd
Thursday at 6pm. Both events are usually hosted at our headquarters, but check
the calendar for exact details!
What kind of volunteers do you need?
If you’re into politics, then you know the heart and soul of electing Democrats is
through door-to-door canvassing and phone banking. But in addition to door
knocking and making phone calls, we need volunteers to help raise funds, organize
our events, coordinate volunteers, join our committees, help improve our head-
quarters and the list goes on and on. If you can do something, we’ll find something
for you to do — and it would be greatly appreciated!
I’d like to volunteer. Who do I contact?
If you’re interested in joining the BCDP and volunteering with us,
please email: hq@buncombedems.org
I’d like to contribute to the BCDP. How do I make a contribution?
The BCDP operates on the generous contributions of its supporters. Please make
a contribution to help continue electing our Democrats to offices where they can
make a difference! You can even make recurring monthly contributions!
