We have an opportunity to defend democracy in North Carolina. Republicans made our judicial elections partisan and got a head start on installing loyalists. They allowed partisan gerrymandering to reduce democratic voices. So Democrats created a plan to take back our courts before the next round of scheduled redistricting.

Step ONE was re-electing Justice Allison Riggs - that one is, shockingly, still in the courts.

Step TWO is making sure Justice Anita Earls retains her seat in 2026. She is already working vigorously to do that. A longtime civil rights attorney and champion for voting rights, Anita is the only person of color serving on the Court.

Step THREE will be to flip three seats blue in 2028.
