Our main goal for our precinct has been voter education and support throughout the past year. This year we want to focus our efforts on helping us all become more informed about our state politics and issues affecting Western North Carolina.

Who better to help us understand how the North Carolina legislature works than Lindsey Prather, our State House Representative for District 115. Lindsey, an educator, community leader and public servant, is starting her second term in the house after switching gears a bit to represent a newly gerrymandered district.

Precinct 48.1 is hosting this Wine and Cheese late afternoon event at the Vistas of Westfield Clubhouse, 61 Westfield Way, to learn from Lindsey. All precincts in the cluster are invited to munch, sip and learn more about our state government and how it all works in this first-in-a-series event.

Who should attend: Residents of precincts 44.1, 45.1, 47.1, 48.1 and 49.1
