Andrew Aydin, acclaimed comics author, will hold a book signing event in the education room of the Black Mountain Public Library on May 6th at 4:00 pm. Aydin is best known for co-writing the graphic novel trilogy MARCH with Congressman John Lewis. MARCH, the first comics work to ever win the National Book Award, chronicles Lewis’s life, legacy, and involvement in the civil rights movement. 

Aydin worked alongside Lewis for over a decade, serving as his digital director and policy advisor, and drawing inspiration for the trilogy from their conversations. Aydin has also authored several other books on social justice and activism. His latest, RUN: BOOK ONE, is a continuation of the MARCH series. The book signing event is a unique opportunity to meet the author in person and have copies of MARCH, RUN, or any of his other publications signed. Books will also be available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public.
