Have You Made Your Plan to Vote This Year? (BCDP Weekly)

It's Coming Up Fast so Let's Get Ready!

October 17th will be here before you know it and states all across the South are trying some shady last-minute voter purges. Keep an eye on your registration and don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID to the polls - you can check your registration and more at iwillvote.com.

Early voting with same-day registration starts October 17 and ends at 3 pm on November 2 (no voting on Oct. 20). Absentee-by-mail ballots begin going out this week to those who requested them. We recommend in-person early voting if possible - ideally on the first day. That will take you off our reminder lists so you won't get called or your door knocked, freeing up our volunteers to reach other voters. Seeing enthusiasm at the polls will entice others to vote! Plus, we have a special event planned for those who vote on Day 1 of Early Voting - stay tuned for more information on that.

For information on candidates, early voting sites in Buncombe County, photo ID requirements and more, visit our website's Vote '24 section.

Debate Watch Party at BCDP HQ

Let's be together to cheer on every calm, intelligent and well-informed statement from Kamala Harris (and every not-so-calm rant from her opponent). The Harris/Walz Campaign is hosting a Debate Watch Party on September 10th at Buncombe Democratic Party Headquarters.

Sign up here to join us for dinner and the debate on Tuesday at 8pm.

And be sure to see our calendar for many more ways to get involved!
