Update From the Third Vice Chair
For three years now it has been my honor to serve as BCDP's Third Vice Chair for Communications, but this is my last week in the role. I want to thank each and every one of you who reads this newsletter each week, who has ever replied with a funny anecdote, a serious concern, or a simple request to change your email address -- I've read them all and treasured the impact of each one.
In the past three years, the BCDP Comms team has taken on some serious challenges, expanded to a top-notch team of volunteers, and become, in my humble opinion, the best darn county party comms team in the state. While I'm sad to leave, I feel confident you're in good hands with our team of truly professional graphic designers, social media managers, publicists and more running the day-to-day, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of the team.
In the coming weeks you may see some transitions in messaging, design, and/or content, but rest assured, we all share the same firm commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024. We can't do this alone, though -- we need your help to show up this year -- to our canvasses and phone banks, to our candidate events, to our fundraisers, and also to the fun stuff.
I hope to see you this weekend at our convention, and I hope you'll keep in touch!
In solidarity now and always,
Barret
