The Commissioner of Agriculture's duties include protecting, maintaining, and enhancing agriculture in NC, as well as overseeing programs which promote the health, safety, and welfare of North Carolinians. These programs range from agricultural marketing and promotion to drug and cosmetic testing to operating State Farmer's Markets and State Fairs!
