"Raise the Roof" Dance Party!

Please join us on January 24 for our first event in 2025 — a Raise the Roof dance party fundraiser supporting Democrats!

Senator Julie Mayfield and the Buncombe County Democratic Party are collaborating on this event.

We’re going to have a terrific time while supporting two great causes: starting early in the effort to break the Republican supermajority in the NC Senate in 2026 and raising money for the Buncombe Democrats.

It is vitally important to break the Republican supermajority in the Senate. While Democrats broke the House supermajority this year, those House Democratic votes don't always hold when it matters. So the Senate remains the key to upholding Governor-elect Stein’s vetoes.

This event will also help the Buncombe Democrats replace the roof on our headquarters building and add solar panels if we raise enough. Senator Mayfield is splitting the proceeds from all ticket sales and sponsorships with the BCDP so we can “raise” the roof! Please buy tickets and donate whatever you can.

This event will be on January 24, 2025 from 7–10 pm at the Orange Peel, featuring DJ Molly Parti! Tickets and sponsorships for individuals are available at:

While businesses cannot donate to political campaigns, businesses and individuals can donate to the Buncombe Democratic Party’s building fund. If you want to make a donation directly to that fund, you can do that via this link (note: you must click the link above for tickets): DONATE TO THE BCDP.
