As 2023 wraps up, we're already hard at work for the big election year ahead, and we need your help. Looking for ways to get involved or new ways to plug in? Exciting developments are afoot at BCDP with a number of new and expanding initiatives. If any of the following opportunities interest you, just reply to this email!
Communications Team
Got experience in social media, working with the press, event livestreaming, video editing, writing, illustrating, messaging, or merchandising? Put your skills to work on our Comms team, where we do everything from Facebook posts to print and digital media to the newsletter you're reading right now!
Webmaster
Got experience building and running websites, or want to learn? We're looking for an official website manager (webmaster) who can help us plan and expand our content offerings in 2024.
Training Team
Got a background in teaching? We need your help on our Training Team! Help us train phonebankers, door knockers, and more over the coming year.
Building Maintenance
Dust builds up at HQ just like at home. We're looking for someone who might be able to vacuum and clean the bathrooms once a month to help keep the space nice for everyone who comes to volunteer.
Public Comment Notice
The State Board of Elections has opened a public comment period on three proposed temporary rules for election observers as a result of the legislation NCGA Republicans crammed through with veto overrides earlier this year:
- Challenge to the appointment of an observer
- Appeal of removal of an observer from a voting site
- Identification of observers
Read the new rules and leave your comments for the board before December 20.
